Lagarta Lodge

Lagarta Lodge is a boutique hotel located in Nosara on the remote Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica. The lodge is situated within its own private nature reserve between two rivers, Nosara Beach, and a lush forest with mangrove trees.

Nearby Beaches

There are many nearby beaches in the area – perfect for exploring! Pelada and Nosara Beach are just a 10-to 15-minute walk away. Guiones Beach (a bit surf beach), Ostional Beach (known for turtle nesting), and San Juanillo Beach (a top-rated beach) are a 15-40 minute drive away!

Activities

Guests also have the option of exploring the marked trails in the on-site nature reserve with a provided map. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the Nosara River and Montana River on either side of the property by boat tour, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard. If your visit aligns with turtle nesting season, the Ostional Turtle Tour is a must! Guests can also book a canopy zip line adventure, horseback riding on the beach, and even a Spanish language course.

Lagarta Lodge has two infinity pools, a Jacuzzi, a meeting room, a No-Sara Art Gallery, a wine cellar, a shop, an observation tower with a 360-degree view, room service, WIFI throughout the property, complimentary self-parking, Chirriboca Restaurant, and a lounge. The lodge also has Vista Manglares Spa with a couples room, a wet room, three different treatment options, a Jacuzzi, and a yoga studio. The yoga studio offers aerial yoga, vinyasa, and restorative yoga to soothe and restore.

The lodge has 26 rooms in total: 11 Jungle Suites, 8 Panorama Suites, and 7 Flor Blanca Suites. Each has a modern, simplistic decor and design.

Rooms feature bathrobes, hair dryers, electronic safes, telephones, mini-fridges, coffee/espresso machines, ceiling fans, air conditioning, terrace or balcony, iron board on request, luxurious bedding, and king or queen-size beds.
