Selva Verde Lodge

Selva Verde Lodge is great for nature enthusiasts, adventure seekers, and bird and wildlife watchers. With over 500 acres of surrounding Cloud Forest on the property, there are unparalleled chances for up close and personal encounters with nature.

All of their buildings are incorporated into their natural surroundings on elevated wooden platforms and walkways. The lodge feels like less of a hotel and more like its very own nature preserve.

Selva Verde Lodge immerses guests in the world of the rainforest – whether that means a day-long hike, rafting down the Sarapiqui River, or just relaxing in a hammock to watch the birds fly by!

Selva Verde Lodge Rooms

There are 40 River Lodge rooms, accommodating one to four guests. Each room is equipped with two double or queen-size beds. These are amazing for wildlife viewing, thanks to the verandas that surround each block of rooms.

The Bungalows at Selva Verde Lodge offer A/C as well as ceiling fans. Tucked into the forest, they are more secluded and offer a peaceful retreat for relaxing and watching out for nearby wildlife. These five bungalows are perfect for romance or honeymoons. They are a 10 to 15 walk from the reception along a lit and mostly covered walkway. However, parts of the walk are uphill and have a number of wide steps.

The La Casona Rainforest Suite is the deluxe option at Selva Verde Lodge, great for families and small groups. This is a two-bedroom suite with a large kitchen, living area, two full bathrooms, and a veranda with hammocks and chairs.  One room contains a queen-size bed and the other has two twins. This home away from home has ample space for additional rollaway beds, and the living room is great for relaxing, playing games, or reading.
