
Gandoca Manzanillo Refuge Jungle Hike
Take a guided hike through Gandoca-Manznaillo park and spot native birds, local wildlife, and local medicinal plants.
There are approximately 384 species of birds in Gandoca-Manzanillo park, including hummingbirds, tanagers, owls, and toucans. On your hike, you may also spot white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, sloths, iguanas, snakes, poisonous frogs, and more. Your guide will explain the many types of medicinal plants native to Costa Rica, the natural history of the area, and the Afro-Caribbean customs that define this part of Costa Rica. On your way back, you can stop and enjoy a delicious Caribbean meal at the popular restaurant Maxi’s (at your own cost) before a stop at the beach!
