Daily Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at Nayara Springs, Arenal Volcano, Costa Rica
Upon arrival at San Jose International Airport, you will be met and driven approximately 3 hours to the Arenal / La Fortuna region for overnight at Nayara Springs Resort. This exclusive boutique hotel combines luxury and Costa Rican hospitality for a truly charming experience.
Day 2
Hands-on Tropical Cooking Class
Enjoy a hands-on tropical cooking experience with Chef Scott Alan alongside local chefs for a fun and entertaining afternoon. Learn all about tropical cooking, ingredients, grilling, and even cocktails! View of Arenal Volcano in a “pura vida” atmosphere will make this cooking experience especially memorable. This is a great class for beginning and experienced cooks – all skill levels are welcome! You can participate and help Chef Scott Alan prepare dishes or watch and take notes – the choice is yours! *Please advise if you or any members of your group have food allergies at booking. Day 3
Balsa River White Water Rafting
The Class III Balsa River White Water Rapids offers a fun experience for both first-time and experienced paddlers. The first half of the river has continuous rapids with small pools in between where you rest. In the second half, the rapids are more spread out and less intense – great for wildlife watching! Enjoy lunch before returning to Nayara Springs for overnight.
Day 4
Transfer to Rancho Pacifico, Uvita
Today you will be met and driven to the local airport for your scenic flight from Arenal to Quepos (some flights have a stop in San Jose). Upon arrival, you will be picked up and driven approximately 45 minutes to Uvita for overnight at Rancho Pacifico Hotel on the South Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. This adults-only luxurious boutique resort features panoramic views of the rainforest and Pacific Ocean, first-hand encounters with nature, exquisite meals, a tree-top spa, and spacious private suites.
Day 5
Corcovado National Park Tour
Board a boat at Punta Uvita for the journey to Corcovado National Park on the Osa Peninsula. Along the way, you may spot whales (when in season), dolphins, turtles, and manta rays. Spend the day hiking the renowned trails of the most remote rainforest in Costa Rica home to monkeys, sloths, coatis, and wild tapirs. Your guide will also share the secrets of the rainforest. Day 6
Uvita Free Day
Discover the untouched beaches of the Uvita, relax at the pool, or plan day excursions for an additional cost. Overnight Rancho Pacifico Hotel.
Day 7
Uvita Free Day
Relax by the pool, book a spa treatment, or explore the beaches in the area. The day is yours to rest and relax as you please! Overnight Rancho Pacifico Hotel.
Day 8
Depart San Jose, Costa Rica
Today you will be met and driven approximately 3 1/2 hours to San Jose International Airport for your return flight home.

Holiday season supplements apply for Christmas, New Year’s, Presidents Day, and Easter travel dates. Green season specials and/or lower rates may apply for May to November travel dates.
All itineraries are land only and international airfare is quoted separately. Itinerary adjustments may be necessary depending on your international flight schedule. For example, a late arrival will usually require a night near the airport in San Jose.
