Daily Itinerary
Day 1
Transfer to Tabacón Thermal Resort, Arenal
Upon arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica transfer approximately 3 hours by ground to Tabacón Thermal Resort, Arenal. Guests of this romantic resort enjoy complimentary access to the hotel’s network of natural hot springs, sourced directly from the nearby volcano. Guests aged 18 and over can relax in the exclusive Shangri-La Gardens, which offers a private bar and spa area. With a combination of family-friendly accommodations and adults-only suites, this stands out as one of Arenal’s premier hotels.
Day 2
Arenal Volcano Ziplining
The Arenal Reserve Sky Aerial Tram and Zipline is the perfect romantic thrill. Take the aerial tram up through the forest canopy and enjoy unbeatable panoramic views of Arenal Volcano, Lake Arenal, and the Tilaran Mountain Range. Day 3
Arenal Free Day

Day 4
Transfer to Nantipa, Nicoya Peninsula
This morning, you will transfer to the airport in Arenal. Check-in for a short flight to Cobano. Then, you will be met and taken to Nantipa on the Nicoya Peninsula. This beachfront property offers private bungalows with direct access to world-class surfing, as well as a wide variety of dining, local shopping, and nightlife options.
Day 5
Tortuga Island & Snorkeling Tour
Your adventure begins with a coastal ride, where you might spot dolphins, manta rays, turtles, and, in season, humpback or pilot whales. At Tortuga Island, snorkel around volcanic reefs in crystal-clear waters, home to tropical fish like Angelfish and Spotted Eagle Rays. After relaxing on the island’s white-sand beach with drinks and fruit, enjoy a BBQ lunch of fresh fish or chicken with grilled veggies. Day 6
Nicoya Peninsula Free Day

Day 7
Nicoya Peninsula Free Day

Day 8
Depart San Jose, Costa Rica
This morning you will transfer to the airport in Cobano, where you will check in for a short flight to San Jose. Then, you will be met and transferred to the international terminal for your afternoon departure.

Holiday season supplements apply for Christmas, New Year’s, Presidents Day, and Easter travel dates. Green season specials and/or lower rates may apply for May to November travel dates.
All itineraries are land only and international airfare is quoted separately. Itinerary adjustments may be necessary depending on your international flight schedule. For example, a late arrival will usually require a night near the airport in San Jose.
