Daily Itinerary
Day 1
Transfer to Monteverde, Costa Rica
Upon arrival in San Jose or Liberia, Costa Rica you will be met and transferred by ground approximately 3 1/2 hours to Senda Hotel, Monteverde’s newest premier upscale hotel. Senda’s 24 guest rooms and suites give the hotel an intimate ambiance and open-air porches overlooking lush gardens or the Pacific Ocean provide a relaxing respite after days of exploration.
Day 2
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve
Transfer to Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve for a hike through the high-elevation forest led by a professional naturalist. Explore the misty forests’ thick vegetation. Discover prehistoric ferns, blooming bromeliads, and a multitude of unique bird species. Look out for the rare Resplendent Quetzal bird – a birding treasure! Overnight Senda Monteverde Hotel.
Day 3
Monteverde Free Day
Relax on the property or arrange an additional tour in the Monteverde area with a Costa Rica Expert. Overnight Senda Monteverde Hotel.
Day 4
Transfer to Arenal / La Fortuna
Early this morning, you’ll be picked up at your hotel for a 1 1/2-hour drive to Rio Chiquito, a small town on the shore of Lake Arenal. Board a small boat and transfer across the lake for about 15-25 minutes depending on wind conditions. The boat will dock at Arenal Dam where you will be met and driven to Amor Arenal overnight. Located in the foothills of Arenal Volcano, Amor Arenal is a high-end lodge with volcano views, a full-service spa, farm-to-table dining, and trails accessible directly from the hotel.
Day 5
Arenal Reserve Zip Line & Aerial Tram
The Sky Tram gives amazing views of the surrounding area as it leads you to a wide observation platform at the highest point of the Arenal Reserve. Sky Trek is a series of zip lines for a unique perspective of the forest and a rush of adrenaline! After this adventure, you will have the remainder of the day free to relax or explore the region. Day 6
Pure Trek Canyoning
Your trip begins with a 30-minute 4×4 drive into the tropical rainforest. You will trek through the forest on trails that lead to some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Costa Rica. Along the way, you will have the chance to discover the secrets that lie hidden deep within the canyon. There are 5 rappels ranging in height from 50 meters to 20 meters. Overnight Amor Arenal.
Day 7
Transfer to Playa Uvita, Southern Pacific Coast
Today you will take a private charter flight to Quepos on the Pacific Coast. From there you will be met and driven to Uvita Beach on the Southern Pacific Coast for an overnight at Kurà Design Villas. Kurà is an exclusive boutique hotel on the Southern Coast where the tropical architecture provides a luxurious vacation experience with Pacific Ocean views. Kurà is the perfect place to indulge your senses.
Day 8
Corcovado National Park Tour
Transfer 1 1/2 – 2 hours by boat to Corcovado National Park Park on the wild and remote Osa Peninsula. Hike or boat through “one of the most biologically intense places on earth,” according to National Geographic. Visit one of the most expansive mangroves in Central America. Look out for a variety of animal species including monkeys, sloths, coatis, crocodiles, scarlet macaws, and more. Overnight Kura Design Villas.
Day 9
Uvita Beach Free Day
Lounge by Kura’s infinity pool and enjoy an unbeatable view of the tropical forest tumbling into the Pacific Ocean. Book an afternoon spa treatment at Spa Sha. Then, enjoy sunset cocktails at the Sky Lounge. Overnight Kura Design Villas.
Day 10
Depart San Jose, Costa Rica
Today transfer by ground approximately 3.5 hours to the international airport in San Jose for your return flight home.

All itineraries are land only and international airfare is quoted separately. Itinerary adjustments may be necessary depending on your international flight schedule. For example,e a late arrival will usually require a night near the airport in San Jose.
